Privacy notice

What we collect

• Your email address, when you start a free account or buy a plan.
• The Tesla model you are hunting, if you choose one.
• If you have an app account: your email address, your plan and when a paid pass ends, and, only if you add them, your home ZIP code, your time zone and whether you want alert emails.
• When you sign in: a scrambled code of each sign-in link we email you and of each browser you stay signed in on, with the time, your browser type and a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address (not the address itself), kept to protect accounts and stop abuse.
• Your saved searches: the name, the Tesla models, price, year and mileage limits and any other filters you set, your ZIP code and distance, whether the search is paused, and whether alerts come by notification, email or both.
• If you turn on notifications: the address and encryption keys your browser's push service gives us, your device type and browser type, and when it last checked in, so we can send notifications to that device. A notification holds only the car, its FSD label, price, mileage and town.
• If you run a Listing Check: the listing link and VIN you give, the details you enter (model, year, price, mileage, seller, what you saw on the screen), and what the check found in the ad: the claims it read and the sentences that support them, each cut to 300 characters. The pasted ad text itself is not stored.
• For each alert we send: when it went out, to which device or inbox, whether it was accepted, and whether it was shown and opened.
• A copy of each email we send you (sign-in links, alerts and check-in questions) in our outgoing mail queue.
• If you use the app signed in: the cars you favorite, hide or open, so we can show your hearts, keep hidden cars out of your results and alerts, and mark cars you have already viewed.
• If you tell us you bought a car: the car, the date, where you bought it and whether FSD showed at delivery, plus a price or a short story only if you choose to add one, and your answer when we email you about 14 days later to ask whether FSD (Supervised) is still on the car.
• For each alert email we send, a one-way scrambled code of its unsubscribe link, tied to your account, so one click turns alert emails off without signing in.
• Basic signup details: the date, your browser type, the site or campaign that sent you, and a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address that we use only to stop abuse. We do not store your IP address itself.

How we use it

We use your email to send your sign-in link, your matches and alerts, receipts and important service messages. We never sell or rent it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. If we use an email service to send those messages, it handles your address on our behalf and for that purpose only.

Your account, saved searches, notification details and sign-in records are used only to run the app: to let you in, to find cars that match your searches and to send the alerts you asked for. Alert records tell us whether alerts arrive quickly and reliably. A Listing Check is used only to give you its report and to count your free checks for the month.

Your favorite, hidden and viewed cars are used only to run your own account. Hiding a car also stops saved-search alerts about it. If you tell us you bought a car, we use that record to stop alerts about it and to email you the follow-up question (at most two emails; turning alert emails off does not stop them, the link in the first one does), and your answers help us check whether our FSD readings were right. A story is kept only if you tick the box that lets us share it, and we email you the edited text for your OK before anything is published.

Payments

If you buy a plan, Stripe processes the payment. We receive your name, email address, the amount and the payment status, and use them to deliver your plan, send your receipt and handle refunds. We never see or store your card number. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to learn which pages people visit, how they found us and whether signups, checkouts and the free VIN decoder work, so we can improve the site. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) on this site and sends Google the pages you view, your device and browser type, your approximate location and those actions. For a VIN check that is only the model and year it decodes to, never the VIN itself (the decoder runs in your browser), and if one of our pages hits a script error, the error message. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and every advertising feature, so this data is never used for ads, and the private link to your pass page is never sent. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal, get no analytics cookies at all. You can also opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes requests to keep it fast and secure.

When you sign in to the app, we set a cookie named fsd_session that holds a random code and keeps you signed in; it is strictly necessary for the app to work, is never used for analytics or ads, lasts 30 days from your last visit and is deleted when you sign out (the app's pages also set two short-lived, strictly necessary cookies: fsd_csrf, which protects its forms and ends when you close your browser, and fsd_next, which remembers for one hour which app page to open after you sign in). If you hide the finder's "How to read a verdict" box, a cookie named fsd_intro remembers that for a year; it holds only account numbers: yours, and those of up to four other accounts that hid the box in the same browser.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while you have an account or a plan. To unsubscribe or have your information deleted, email info@fsdradar.com or reply to any email we send you, and we will remove it. We keep payment records as long as tax law requires. Unfavoriting or unhiding a car removes that mark. Your favorite, hidden and viewed cars, your "I bought this car" records (including any story) and your unsubscribe link codes are kept while you have an account and are deleted with it; unsubscribe link codes are also removed after 400 days. The Account page in the app has a Delete my account button, and we carry it out within 30 days.

Deleting your account also deletes your saved searches, notification details, Listing Checks, sign-in records and the copies of emails we sent you, and cuts the link between you and your alert records. Those alert records are deleted 90 days after they are written, and finished alerts leave our alert queue after 7 days. You can delete a saved search or a Listing Check yourself at any time. A deleted check keeps only its date, car model, year, seller type and result, so your free monthly allowance still counts it. A sign-in expires 30 days after you last use it, and signing out ends it at once. Records of expired sign-ins, and of sign-in links once used or expired, are deleted within two days. We keep our copy of each email for 90 days after we send it (an email that never went out, 90 days after it was due) and then delete it. A notification device that you turn off, or that its push service reports as gone, is removed after 30 days.

Car listings and removal requests

When FSD Radar shows used car listings, it keeps only the facts about the car (such as the VIN, model, price, mileage, city and the listing link), the short quote or screen crop that shows the FSD indication, and the name of the source. We never republish full listing photos. If you are a seller or a listing source and want a listing, a quote or a screen crop removed, email info@fsdradar.com with the listing link. We remove it within 24 hours.
